Throughout my years of serving the community, I have found it's productive and beneficial for clients to attend weekly counseling sessions at a minimum.
This is so as one continues to work through challenges and difficulties, there's a steady flow of accountability which fosters progress, motivation, encouragement and personal growth.
Sometimes a client's financial means as well as the intensity of their presenting problem may not accommodate nor warrant weekly sessions.
However, this is something that should be discussed and determined on a case by case scenario with each client. Normally, this conversation would take place after a client has had at least 3 tor 4 consecutive weekly sessions.
