When couples get to this point and do nothing to address any issues, one or the other partner reaches breaking point. They get to the "I'm fed up, and I can't do this anymore", scenario in the relationship.
At this stage, couples seek counseling. I would like to encourage couples to not let your relationship get to the point of no return.
When couples address concerns early on, there can be restoration, reconciliation and renewing of love that was first experienced at the beginning of their relationship.
Getting the love you want is the approach used in my counseling with couples. Imago Relationship Therapy is the process designed to help couples create a conscious relationship which fosters maximum psychological and spiritual growth.
The twelve-week course is designed to help couples work through and transform their love once experienced into a lasting source of love and companionship.
Here and now problems that are currently faced by partners are always addressed. This allows couples to start the process of expressing feelings appropriately and communicate effectively within a safe and mediated environment.
Other approaches used with couples include Christian counseling, addressing trust and communicative issues, as well as understanding effective core principles in a caring and supportive marriage. Biblical principles and spiritual disciplines are also incorporated in Christian Counseling.
